Costs

We hire long term – from a minimum of one month – in monthly increments for a minimum of 2pp (we do not offer solo hire). We’re fully insured and licensed which ensures you have peace of mind that the boat you rent is fully compliant with all CRT navigations, and industry safety guidelines.

Before you book elsewhere please carefully check what is included in your hire, and especially that the boat you are hiring has a commercial/business boat licence and a Hire-craft Boat Safety Certificate – failure to do so could mean that you are not insured!!

Pricing

Our prices are up to 50% cheaper than hiring a standard holiday hire boat of similar size for the same period!! The actual price per month varies on the season and the length of your hire. Longer hire periods are discounted. See below for 2027 rates. (Please note that we cannot hire to a single person/solo hirer and that we do not allow our boats to stay inside the M25 area of London other than as part of a transit of the Thames Ring).

(Viscount and Princess are mid-month boats, with hires starting on the 15th and ending on the 12th. For example if you book for May the hire dates would be the 15th May to the 12th June)

2027….and beyond!

We already have a number of bookings for 2028 so it really is never too early to secure the month(s) that you want afloat. For bookings for these years we do not ask for the full deposit until 12 months before the date of hire commencement: however we request a returnable holding deposit of £500 - which will be refundable in full if you change your mind more than 12 months before your holiday start date. Please note that prices for bookings commencing beyond March 2027 will be approximate and subject to any unexpected/significant increases in licence fees etc.

Multi Month Discount

Prices shown are for one months hire, if you wish to book for an extended period a multi month discount will be applied. Please contact us for a bespoke quote, stating your preferred boat and which months you would like to hire.

Booking Process

DEPOSIT: We require a deposit of £1500 to secure your booking. (For bookings in 2027/8 we only take a £500 deposit and then expect the rest of the deposit to be paid no later than a year before the hire commencement date).

HIRE FEE: Payment for the whole hire will be due, in full, two months before the hire commences – regardless of the length of hire hire period booked. At the point at which the hire fee is paid the booking deposit becomes a refundable security deposit. This is returned within 48hrs of the end of your hire subject to deductions made in the unlikely event that any damage or losses which may have been sustained.

All payments can only be accepted by BACS, or international money/ bank transfer in £ sterling – we do not accept any card payments. 

Please note that each hire period for all boats (except The Princess and The Viscount) starts on the 1st of the month (except January 2nd). Each hire period finishes on the 28th of the last month, (except in February which ends on the 27th of the month). The hire period for The Princess and The Viscount starts on 15th of the month with return due on the 12th of the last month of hire. This allows us the time to prepare each boat for the next hirer and make any repairs necessary.
